WILEX is managed by an international team of professionals
with large experience in pharmaceutical development in oncology and backgrounds
in various international biotech and
pharmaceutical companies. The Management Team is well supported by a experienced
Supervisory Board. A Medical Advisory Board for RENCAREX®* assists
the Management Team with strategic guidance and overall medical advice on
the Phase III ARISER study.

Professor Olaf G. Wilhelm, MD, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Management Board
Prof. Olaf G. Wilhelm, co-founder of the company,
was managing director from October 1, 1997 until April 8, 2001, and has
been Chief Executive Officer of WILEX since April 9, 2001 since the conversion
of the company into a stock corporation. In the year 2001, he was appointed
Extraordinary Professor of Gynecology at the Technical University of
Munich. From 1990 to 1997, he was employed as senior physician for obstetrics
and gynecological oncology at the gynecological hospital right of the
Isar (Frauenklinik des Klinikums rechts der Isar) at the Technical University
of Munich. While at the Technical University of Munich, Prof. Wilhelm
was also a member of the clinical research group. From 1987 to 1990,
he worked as a scientist for Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis (Indiana/USA).
Prof. Wilhelm received the Midwest Trainee Award of the American Federation
for Clinical Research and has authored over 70 publications. He received
his M.D. from the Technical University of Munich. Until 2005, Prof. Wilhelm
was chairman of the supervisory board of the Isar-Klinik AG in Munich
as well as a member of the advisory board of GIP mbH, Munich. In addition
to this, Prof. Wilhelm is a member of the management board of both BIO
Deutschland e.V. and Munich Network – Netzwerk München e.V.

Peter Llewellyn-Davies
Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Management Board
Peter Llewellyn-Davies has been the company's Chief Financial Officer and member of the executive board since September 1, 2006. He has over 20 years' experience in leading positions in medium-sized companies in the commercial as well as the financial sector. Prior to joining the company, as proprietor of PLD Management Service, Munich, Mr. Llewellyn-Davies provided support and advice to small and medium-sized companies regarding management and financing questions. Prior to that he was an executive director of Müller Dairy (UK) Ltd., the English subsidiary of the Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller GmbH & Co. KG. From 1996 until 2003 he was employed as an executive director at Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, responsible for the areas of finance, controlling, accounting, taxes, M&A and risk management. Mr. Llewellyn-Davies read business management, banking, marketing and controlling in London (Great Britain), St. Gallen (Switzerland) and Munich, and has a certificate in business studies from the University of London (Great Britain).

Thomas Borcholte, PhD
Chief Business Officer and Member of the Executive Management Board
Dr Thomas Borcholte is appointed
as member of the Executive Management Board and Chief Business Officer
(CBO) on 1 October
2007. He is responsible
for Business Development and will implement the Company’s
commercialisation strategy. The 51 year-old biochemist holds a
PhD qualification and brings
with him 20 years experience in leading positions primarily within
the pharmaceutical / biotechnology sector. Most recently, Dr Borcholte
was
Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Topotarget S/A Copenhagen
as well as an
Executive Board member of TopoTarget Germany AG, Frankfurt.
Dr Borcholte is known in the pharmaceutical industry for successful
licensing, product launches and product marketing. For example,
he recently led the
market launch of Savene TM, an antidote which prevents tissue damage
following anthracycline extravasation. Dr Borcholte also managed
the market launch
of AVONEX® for the treatment of multiple sclerosis as well
as successfully marketing blockbuster products such as Retrovir® and
Zovirax®.
He studied biochemistry at the University of Hannover and gained
a PhD in human biology.

Paul Bevan, Ph.D.
Head of Research & Development and Member of the Executive
Management Board
Dr Paul Bevan has served as Head of Research and
Development at WILEX since April 1, 2003. Dr Bevan has over 20 years
of experience in leading R&D positions in multinational pharmaceutical
and biotech companies. From 1992 to 1999, Dr Bevan was Research Director
of Xenova Therapeutics, Slough (UK) and also a member of the Management
Board of Xenova Group plc from 1992 to 2001. From 1999 until 2001,
Dr Bevan was a member of the Supervisory Board of Xenova Group plc.,
Slough (Great Britain). From 1984 to 1992, Dr Bevan worked for Solvay
Duphar BV, Weesp (The Netherlands), as Director of Pharmacology and
later was promoted to Manager (Vice President) Drug Development. From
1980 to 1984, Dr Bevan was head of a pre-clinical research laboratory
at Sandoz AG (today Novartis AG), Basel (Switzerland). Prior to joining
the Company, Dr Bevan was CEO of PharmAssociates Ltd., Burnham (Great
Britain), a consulting firm for the pharmaceutical industry, which
he founded in 1999. Dr Bevan holds a degree in biochemistry from the
University of Strathclyde (Great Britain) and a PhD in neuro-pharmacology
from the University of Edinburgh (Great Britain).

Gabriele Elbl, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs
Dr Elbl joined WILEX in January 2002 as Director
Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control. In February 2008, she was appointed
the company’s Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs.
Dr Elbl also holds the position of the qualified person at WILEX. From
March 1999
to December 2001, she worked as Scientific Administrator in the Human
Medicines Evaluation Unit of the European Agency for the Evaluation
of Medicinal Products (EMEA) in London. From November 1991 to February
1999, she worked with SANOFI Winthrop GmbH, as Business Development
Project Coordinator and, since December 1994, as Head of the Pharmaceutical
Department where she was responsible for regulatory affairs, quality
assurance and medical documentation. Dr Elbl is a certified pharmacist
and received a PhD in pharmacy from the University of Munich.

Charlotte Lohmann
Vice President Legal Affairs & Human Resources
Charlotte Lohmann joined WILEX in January 2001. In
May 2005 she was appointed Vice President Legal Affairs & Human
Resources. From June 1999 to January 2001, she practiced as lawyer
at the law firm KMPG Treuhand & Goerdeler GmbH in Munich where
she gained extensive experience in initial public offerings (IPOs)
and global restructuring of companies. Prior to that she worked in
the tax and law department of the auditing company KPMG Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft
AG in the Munich office, where she specialised in the area of German
labour law. Mrs. Lohmann received her degree in law from the University
of Munich (Germany) and is an admitted attorney at law since 1997.

Norman G. Neville, MD
Vice President Clinical Research & Development
Norman Neville, M.D., was appointed Vice President
of Clinical Research & Development of WILEX AG as of September
1st, 2005. Norman Neville has 15 years of experience in leadership
roles in clinical research in the international pharmaceuticals industry.
He joins WILEX from Wyeth Research, Paris (France), where he served
as Director Translational Research / Experimental Medicine Europe since
July 2003. Before that he was Associate Director Experimental Medicine
Europe at Wyeth Research in Martinsried (Germany). From 1991 to 2002
he worked in the clinical research department of Merck & Co Inc.,
Rahway (N.J., USA) and its German Subsidiary MSD GmbH (Haar). He received
his medical degree from the University of Munich in 1989.
